A time when I used critical thinking was when I was looking into what major I wanted to do. I started off by looking into a field I wanted to go into and looked at what each field offered. I knew I wanted to go into science so I looked into Allied Health Sciences because it was a broad major and I could do anything in science with it. I used critical thinking to think deeper about what in science interested me. I looked mostly into physical therapy and occupational therapy. I began my research about each and saw what classes they required. Physical therapy required a lot of science classes and math classes. Those classes interest me a lot so I think I would do good in each of those. So I looked at the 4-year plan requirement and realized what I needed to take and when to take it to graduate on time. I used critical thinking to figure out what I wanted to major in because I was able to look deeper into majors and see what major best fit me and what would be best for me with my 4 year plan.

My schedule for this semester is really nice. I am a late sleeper and starting most of my classes at either 12:30 pm or 10:00am Is a way a can really catch up on my sleep and not feel rushed in the morning. I use that extra time in the morning to relax and finish some homework that I might of not gotten too. I also am able to take my time getting ready and can have a nice breakfast without going hungry to my long 2 hour classes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I go from 10 am - 5 pm, those days are very long and very rushed. I wish I had more time in between classes, so I could get started on the homework given so I don't have to do so much all at once. Getting out around 5 pm makes me tired and I tend to get lazy so doing homework doesn't sound very appealing to me anymore. I need to find a way that I can stay motivated and energized so I can stay on top of the homework Im given that day.
Next semester I have a lot of early classes and from this semester I found out that I really like having late mornings so I am going to try and work around that and change my schedule to later classes. Overall my schedule for this semester is very nice and I like how everything laid out. V'Lecea really helped me make my schedule so Im very thankful that I have good mentors that are looking out for me, because otherwise my schedule wouldn't be nearly as good as it is right now.

My first week of classes went really well, Of course I had trouble finding where the classes were, but once I did it was good. My only class on monday is MTH 097 and I found out really fast that it was super easy. My professor is really helpful and she makes math fun. We got homework for the first day, but I had no trouble doing. On tuesday I have 3 classes plus the Freshman Academy study tables from 5-8. Tuesday is a really busy day, I'm not sure if I like my English class yet, It kind of drags on and goes really slow. But I do like the the discussions we have. My second class is WRT 098 and I really love the teacher she really makes me love to write and makes it easier to learn how to express my ideas through writing. My last class is LIB 100, This class is my most difficult because I have a hard time critically thinking about everything. It takes me longer to think about all these ideas that could come up. On Wednesday I start back over with MTH, and then Thursday is the same as Tuesday. On friday I have this class called PED 100 and I really love that class a lot. We learn how to protect ourself as women on campus, parties, and anywhere we might need too. I really think this program is useful for a young women like myself and I would recommend it to anybody. Overall I really like my schdelee, the time my classes are and everything about it. Im really happy with it and I think Im going to have a great first year.
